Fun fact: I once ran a mile in 4:20 exactly. Hi, my name is Max, and I love tutoring! The most rewarding part of tutoring for me is when a new concept “clicks” with a student - their excitement is contagious! On a more personal level, I am an enthusiastic and outdoorsy type of person, and that enthusiasm certainly shows through when I am working with students.

I partner with students on a one-on-one basis in the SAT and ACT through SoFlo Tutors, my tutoring agency. While my favorite section to tutor is the Reading section, I scored in the top percentile on both exams, graduated from Willamette University with a degree in Political Science, and have been tutoring with SoFlo for 3 years. At SoFlo, our methodology is analysis, strategy, and practice. Your student will take a free diagnostic test first so that we can identify their needs. Next, we will create a plan to address those needs so that we can improve your student’s overall scores. Finally, we will practice using real exams and test questions to prepare them to take the official test.
