Hi, my name is Max! A fun fact about me: I once ran a mile in 4:20. Tutoring is very rewarding, especially when a new concept “clicks” with a student - their excitement is contagious, and it’s a privilege to be able to help them reach that point! On a personal level, I am an enthusiastic and outdoorsy type of person, and that enthusiasm definitely shows in my approach to working with students!
I partner with students on a one-on-one basis in the SAT and ACT through SoFlo Tutors, my tutoring agency. I scored in the top percentile on both exams, graduated from Willamette University with a degree in Political Science, and have been tutoring with SoFlo for 3 years. Our system follows 3 steps: assessment, strategy, and practice. Your student will take a free diagnostic test first, so that we can identify their needs, and then we will create a plan to address those needs so that we can improve scores. Finally, we will practice using real exams and test questions to prepare them to take the official test.
