About Kathryn
I was a USTA tennis champ level player from 2002-2006 based in Texas. Unfortunately a knee injury ended my career before I could continue with a local college scholarship offer. I have stayed involved in tennis programs on and off over the years as well as actively playing. I was involved at John Newcombe tennis ranch in New Braunfels, Texas, and was a member of the 2006 touring team, unfortunately cut short due to my injury. My dad attended Temple University on a full ride tennis scholarship, and coached for 8 years after college as well. He was my coach my whole life and I am proud of the skillset he instilled in me. I would love to work with beginners or those with moderate experience, to help improve their form, technique and overall confidence. When I was a senior in high school, I coached kids ages 5-10 part time and I loved that experience. My goal as a coach would be to start you from scratch to make sure you understand the correct stances, racket grips, and timing. These fundamentals are the basis of tennis.
