About Jonathan
Aloha, over 50 years of experience coaching Tennis. Specializing in Junior development. Currently coaching for Maui County at Kalama Park in Kihei and working at Wailea Tennis Club. PTR Certified Professional and USTA Safe Play qualified.
My father was a teaching professional and taught me how to teach junior players when I was still in High School.
Besides the usual coaches training, I also spent a year working with juniors and tour players at the Gajda Sports Rehab Center in Chicago. We developed conditoning programs that challenge individual players to achieve peak performance.

Analyze the current level of play, talent and conditoning to develop a program of instruction.
All Levels from beginner classes with local recreation departments all the way up to Professional players on the tour.
Find a practice partner! In order to improve a student should be practicing at least a couple hours a week to learn the basics given in the lessons. Then instruction builds on the expertise the student develops.
The US Open and all the major tournaments provide an opportunity to view expert level tennis and inspire students learning the game.

Private lessons start at $40, but most students need a program of several lessons and rates are less for series - depending on how many lessons are involved. Group rates for players allows sharing the lesson fee depending on number of students.
