About Will
I specialize in working with beginners to intermediate players, focusing on techniques and stroke production. Proper grip, position, and swing path are important to play properly and prevent injuries.
I was helping out my childhood coach with her lessons and when she moved/retired, she asked me to take over. From there on, the number of students grew and the rest is history.
I retired from teaching several years ago when I had my two girls and wanted to spend more time with them. Now they are bigger and taking an interest in tennis, I find my self back out on the court working with kids their age. Then adults see me and wanted a lesson. Word-of-mouth spread and I am back.
I played tennis since I was 12 in the Atlanta area. I grew up in the competition circuit and played college tennis for Oglethorpe University. I have worked with the Boys and Girls Clubs and private/team coaching for the past 20 years. I have seen the game of tennis changed over the years and I have to adapt my teaching.

I talk with them to find out their goals are and if we are fit, we will then schedule our sessions.
Primary beginners to intermediate playes.
There are a lot of instructors out there, most of them are awesome, but do talk to them and try them out. Your interaction and chemistry with the instructor will affect your learning and experience. Some may talk too much while others may not be enough to get their point across. Find the one that best fits you.
I teach nowadays not to make a living but because I enjoyed giving back to the community and promote tennis. I see way too many kids who are gamers with no physical activity and real face-to-face interaction with others. I want to show them an alternative that is fun and exciting.
