About Amir
As a tennis coach I try to teach students the basics of tennis. To begin with I teach them the correct way of holding the racket, refining their swings and serves.
I believe, a tennis pro serves many functions, from teaching and motivatting, to being a cheerleader and psychologist. I believe, a tennis pro plays a major role in player’s development in every aspects of the game.
Teaching tennis is very rewarding, and gives me the opportunity to perhaps change my students' lives.
Obviously, just like any other tennis pro, I was a player for a long time, begore I began teaching.
Well, I don't think my education has any relevency in teaching tennis. lol
I have a law degree and I have been been a political science and aviation law professor for the past 15 years.

My philosophy of teaching is: different stroke for different folks.
Although, there are basics principal in teaching tennis that must be followed, I don't believe one size fits all. I teach each student base on his/her physical ability.
I love to work with new students, because they have not developed a bad habit yet. I usually start with basic foundementals of tennis. i teach them about a pros and cons of different ways of holding the racket. the important of holding their eyes on the ball at all tim. The foot work and body preparation as the ball approach. Teaching them to hit the ball on the rise instead of letting it drop before they hit it. Eventually, work my way to teaching them the proper way of volly and finally serving.
I have work with many students. athletic, unathletic, tall, short, young, old, men, women and children.
Look for someone with a vision to utilize you strength and improve your weekness.
