About Paula
My name is Paula B ! I'm currently certified in water safety, lifeguarding and first aid/CPR.
Please feel free to message me at ((concealed information)) for faster scheduling
I started teaching swimmming lessons over two years ago , My goal is to help my students reach their goals at the same time while having fun and doing it safely !
I want to teach them the basics and also the important techniques for proffesional swimming strokes if that's also what you are looking for ! I haave taught kids from 12 months old to adults, to even people with special needs.
So if there's any special acommodation we would need to do , I can make sure to take care of that :)
I have my CPR/lifeguarding certificate by the Red Cross.I also have my water safety certication.
I have worked for the University of Miami at their swimming program teaching their students how to swim.I teach them water survival skills and also breaststoke,fresstyle and backstroke techniques.
I volunteered this summer at a Kindergarden doing swimming lessons for their little campers showing them survival skills in group lessons.
I also worked at a swimming school franchise teaching kids how to learn how to swim ages 1-16 years old

During my first lessons I always try to talk with the parents to ask them what they want from the class, what is their most important goal for them for thei kid to learn and stuff like that.
Then when it's time to get in the pool , I try to make my student feel comfortable in his/her enviroment (the pool) and also make them feel safe with me.
In this lesson we go over the basics for water survival but we also focus on building trust on the water :)
