About Elizabeth
I am excited to help students learn, understand, and apply fundamentals and advanced topics in neuroscience.
Neuroscience is not just a class to pass in school but helps us understand how our minds and bodies work. This practical information can be applied to our daily lives!
I earned a bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from the University of Cincinnati (2018) and am currently a PhD student in Neuroscience at Arizona State University (2019-present). My research specialties are advanced MRI neuroimaging methods and Alzheimer's disease. My skills include neuroimaging and statistical analysis, scientific writing, and coding in R, bash, and MATLAB.
My tutoring expertise lies in neuroscience, psychology, statistics, scientific writing, coding, neuroimaging analysis, and scientific presentations.
I have a bachelor's degree in neuroscience and am a senior PhD student in neuroscience. I have mentorship experience from my first three years of graduate school with undergraduate students and research assistants in the lab. In addition to advanced coursework in topics related to my degree, I have completed a course in scientific teaching methods and am in the process of completing a certification in scientific teaching through my university.

I meet with the student to discuss their needs and goals for our work together. Then I create a plan to meet these goals, including what a typical tutoring session will look like, and go over it with the student. Once we agree on the plan, we begin our work!
