About Shannon
Welcome to Tutor Me, your go-to resource for personalized educational, social and behavioral needs in Pittsburgh, PA! With a focus on individual growth, skill development and confidence, we offer specialized tutoring in academics ( Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies), social and play skill development as well as building confidence, study skills, organizational skills, and overall behavioral goals. As a special educator and behavior specialist with a masters degree in special education and teaching certification in elementary and special education I have 20 years of experience in the field and the ability and skills to directly teach, reinforce, re-teach, modify, break down all k-6 curriculum. I also have a behavior specialist license in the state of PA and a passion to work with students on building pro-social skill development. I can provide support for students that are homeschooled or in need of a tutor, or families that are searching for behavioral or social skills support.
I have worked with students with a multitude of needs including autism, intellectual disabilities, ADHD, learning disabilities, OCD, anxiety, emotional and behavioral needs. My tailored one-on-one approach and learning plan ensures that each student receives the attention, supports, and instruction they deserve based upon their strengths, needs, abilities and preferences.
