About Crystal

My parents have been coaches and presidents of leagues since my oldest brother started playing. My dad was coaching a seventh grade team my junior year of high school and needed an assistant. I volunteered to be his assistant coach. The next year he moved to the eighth grade team and I took over the seventh. I loved it and have been coaching ever since.

I played fast pitch softball from 5 through high school. I played on a club team for 3 years as a utility player. At sixteen I started coaching a junior high team and umpiring for an 8-10 league.

About the lesson

The first session is figuring out where they are at and where they want to go. I love going "back to the basics" for everything. I work at the students speed and highly encourage practice between lessons.

I have worked with girls ages 7-14 for softball. I have worked on a team setting and individual training. Most of the girls I have worked with are just starting out. I have worked with some club players on bettering hitting and catching skills.

Look not only at their achievements, but how their style of training works for you. There are the basics, but beyond that there is no one way to do things. Find a coach that is flexible and will meet you where you are at. But also be sure that you are coachable.
