About Kelsey
Go Get it with Gannett Pitching is a business founded by Kelsey Gannett. Go Get it is one of Kelsey’s “go to” phrases when working with athletes.
Kelsey Gannett has been pitching for over 15 years. Starting first with local leagues in upstate New York, Kelsey worked her way to become a member of SUNYAC First all conference team. Her collegiate awards include first team SUNYAC player and NJCAA pitcher of the year. Kelsey’s experience includes private pitching lessons from Dale Cook a Softball hall of fame inductee.
Kelseys philosophy is focused on positive self talk paired with fundamentals. With this approach she is able to focus on the whole athlete and provide true instruction to her atheltes needs.
What I love most about working with athletes based on pitching is getting to know them and their families. I love to watch an athlete grow and provide instruction to that growth. I also love to help atheltes that others may have over looked or not given the best instruction to.
After graduating with my undergraduate degree in early childhood education I began coaching a pitcher at one of the local high schools near me. I became more and more passionate about my pitchers and wanted to help them with what I struggled with when I was their age.
What may set me apart from other coaches is that I struggled with pitching. I didn’t see many playing hours until college. However it didn’t stop me from continuing to play, work outside of my formal practices and keep trying. I know first hand how it feels to struggle with pitching and strategies that can help athletes get 1% better everyday.
