I am excited, passionate, and knowledgeable about the Catholic faith! You'd be hard-pressed to find as passionate of a tutor as me!

I love creating lesson plans and worksheets. I love writing, researching, and speaking! I'm also so passionate about the Catholic faith that I can't imagine teaching anything else

I started because of my love for Catholicism and my love for showing other people how wonderful Catholicism truly is! I couldn't stop talking about it!

I have taught catechism as a volunteer, as a sponsor to a confirmand, and have worked teaching and creating lessons plans for a parish as a paid position. I am a double major in Theology & Religious Studies and Communication & Media; I will graduate in the summer of 2022.

About the lesson

I would start by asking what interests them in learning more about Catholic Catechism. Then I would find where they are at in their knowledge. Then we would work together to create lesson plans (from lessons I have already created) based on what they are interested in learning more about or what they need help in.

I have primarily worked with high school and young adult age groups. I'd be willing to work with children as young as eight, but would prefer 11-25 (with an special preference for high school and college ages)

I recommend you find someone who agrees with your base beliefs and ideas, or someone who can help form your faith into what you hope it will be. I also recommend keeping an open mind if you are taught something you don't agree with, and definitely an open heart!

When finding someone to help you learn more about your religion, make sure to ask them about their own faith! How do they practice their faith? What do they believe? How might their beliefs differ from the organized religion they are a part of?

A recent event I am fond of was babysitting my toddler godson so his parents could have a night out. It was so much fun running around, cuddling, reading, and watching TV with such a bundle of energy! It's the little things that make life happy.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Make sure you have a good idea of how often you'd like to receive lesson plans, how often you'd like to meet, etc. If you are already in a catechism, religion, or theology class and simply need supplemental help, be sure to think through what kind of help you're asking for.

Details

I am flexible and my prices are negotiable! But I would prefer my prices to be between $13-$20 an hour.

I will also pick my own hours- I may be free some days and weeks more than others as this is my supplemental job and not my primary.
