About Brian

I have been involved in soccer, as a player, coach and referee for 40+ years. I coached competitive soccer for 20 years, here in Dallas, and have been refereeing for the last 10 years.

My coaching experience is with Solar Soccer Club and Dallas Texans. My training also included goalkeeper work, as I was the Goalkeeper Coach for the Texans.

I have my National D License and my focus is on usable skills, based on the age, and how to use them in a game.

I want kids to enjoy the game, work hard, don't worry about mistakes (everyone makes them), and love the game enough that they want to pass it onto their next generation. The best part about skills training is when a player or parent tells me that they are using what we work on in a game.

Firstly, wanted to make sure my girls were taught good skills and felt like I was the best person to do that. Along the way, their teammates learned how to play with game the way I wanted it taught, which is possession, passing and movement away from the ball. Shooting is a by-product of this type of play.

I have since trained girls playing in high school and college.

In addition to my National D License, I also have my National Goalkeeper License and a Grade 7 referee license. I hope you will find my approach challenging and rewarding.

About the lesson

We will do an evaluation and will also talk with the player about what they want to learn, how have they been taught before, what they think they are good at, and where do they believe they need improvement.

All skill levels, from new players to players playing at high competitive levels. Have assisted those moving onto college. Trained a player who is now part of the USWNT player pool and was a 4-year GK starter at UT.

You need to choose someone who will help you develop at your current level, and then take you to the next level. Be willing to accept the training, and know that your trainer should only have one thing in mind, and that is for you to reach your desired level of excellence.

All three of my daughter's have graduated college. One has her Doctorate in Physical Therapy, one is a sports broadcaster for the Dallas Cowboys, and one has her Masters in Public Accounting.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Why are you doing this?

What do you want from this?

Am I willing to put in the work to be better?

Coach Brian was my coach for 11 years and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my experience being one of his players. Coach Brian is great at making sure to push you just the right amount so you are constantly growing. I know I would not have been half the player I was if I did not have him there to help me improve my skills and overall game. If you want to be the best player you can be use Coach Brian!!

I was coached by Brian from around age 10 until I was 18 years old. He was by far the best coach I had in all of my years of sports. He knows soccer and skills as well as the best! I highly recommend him as a coach!

He was patient and committed to helping me evolve into a better player. He was honest and always knew how to motivate me to become better, even in the toughest moments. He has incredible knowledge of the game and was great at explaining new ways of doing something or breaking bad habits. Absolutely one of my favorite coaches/mentors that I have ever had in my life.
