About Sean

I thoroughly enjoy coaching. I'm committed to meeting each client where they are in their skill set development and generating a customized training program to achieve a mutually agreed upon goal.

I'm a results driven person. Nothing is more rewarding than helping others achieve their goals or even better, exceed them. Providing guidance on how to improve a specific athletic task or skill and getting the opportunity to witness the athlete's outcome benefit from your direction, is the feedback I seek.

It just felt right.

Aside from competeing in the sports I offer for personal coaching, I have a variety certifications in coaching youth sports for baseball, hockey, and also from MSHSL.

About the lesson

Build a practice regiment that meets the player where they are, and has steps that hold us both accountable to getting them where they want to be.

I strive to breakdown complex skills into basic fundamentals and teach them in a medium that the players learn well in. If they're a visual learner, I'll show them what I'm looking for and we'll review footage of them executing a skill. If they're an auditory learner - we'll have simple words or short phrases that we'll repeat as we execute a task repetitivley - this also gives a place for the athlete to focus energy on when in competition so they know what they're doing and it becomes second nature. And rarely in youth sports will you find someone who is only a kinestetic learner - Because without seeing yourself executing postively or not hearing some aspect of the sport as feedback, it's tough to gauge how you're doing relative to where you've been.

No two student athletes are the same, no two situations are the same, and it won't always be the same path to reach your personal next level as your teammate's next to you or the competitor across from you.

I refuse to use a player's desire and a parent's wallet against eachother. I've been on the parenting side of the equation and understand what a good and bad value is for a family. Likewise I will share my knowledge and experiences with you to offer advice on what opportunities to pursue and one's that might not be as much a benefit as they may be advertised as being.

Not every player or family I speak with will want to pursue the services we have to offer. And not every player I interact with will be a fit for us to enter an agreement with. If I can't give you what you'll need to be successful, I'll be the first to admit it and suggest resources better suited to meet your needs.
