About Alfonso
My training sessions and overall philosophy centers around transforming my players into players that are prepared for not only game scenarios but for life as well. I help reach their goals by emphasizing and teaching good attitude and hard work. I am meticulous with technique and am constantly learning about the game. I also have many resources to help my players reach their goals, which include all types of soccer drills, workout plans, contacts with club, college and professional coaches and contacts with soccer players at the semi-professional and professional level. I am committed to helping my players reach their goals and I hope I can prove that to you when I meet you!
I love watching my players improve and accomplishing their personal goals. It is a very rewarding experience that I do not take for granted.
Hello! My name is Alfonso Castaneda and I am a coach and soccer trainer! I have been coaching soccer for the past 3 years and have coached at Strikers FC, AYSO Extra and AYSO United. I have experience coaching all ages, ranging from 3 years old to college! I still currently coach at First Touch Coaching, a coaching provider based in Long Beach, and train many players 1 on 1. I am a very detail-oriented trainer that focuses on transforming my players into hard working individuals with great attitudes. I work hard and am committed towards reaching my players goals. A fun fact about me is that I run my own soccer podcast called The Football Amateur Show! I interview people from the soccer community to better understand them and to learn as much about their craft as possible. I have had coaches, trainers, charities, professional soccer players, including Jessica McDonald, media personalities like Jimmy Conrad and so much more! I have grown so much from it and I know you will too!

I always do my first session free for every new client I meet. From there I evaluate the things that mostly needs work and I speak with the player about player goals. I then make a plan for the player depending on how much time they will be with me and go from there! I am always open to my clients messaging me about any questions that they have and will provide them the resources I have to help them as much as possible!
I have trained players of all ages, from 3 years old to college!
