About Felipe

My coaching career began with me trying to find the best soccer coach for my own son. While there are many coached out there, I wasn't 100% satisfied. Given I have a strong soccer background, I decided to further develop it and thus provide my son, the best training possible. His skills have allowed him to play for FC Dallas and Texans DA.

I've had a passion for soccer since a kid, and have carried that passion throughout my life, working on both the business and coaching side of soccer.

I've played since the age of 5 years old, and haven't stopped playing since. At an early age, I joined a Mexican elite soccer team (Tigres Youth Team). On the business side, I've continued my career in soccer, working for Soccer Innovations, where I assisted with the design, testing, and implementing of soccer products in actual soccer training environment. On the coaching side, I had the opportunity to be an assistant coach for FC Dallas youth club team. In addition, I've assisted Jimmy Elder in coaching the Andromeda Soccer Club Team and Brookhaven College Women's Soccer Team.

About the lesson

The typical process looks as follows:

1. Initial player evaluation

2. Based on initial player evaluation, work on the 4 fundamentals of soccer (physical, tactical, technical, and psychological).

3. Track player progress and adjust skills training, to ensure players are always developing and growing.

-Players in DA (Development Academy)

-Players in ECNL (Elite Club National League)

-Players in classic league

-Players in College teams

-Players playing for highschool

My advice for a student looking to hire a teacher/coach would be as follows:

1. Do your research about the coach/(s) you are interested in

2. Ask for recommendations

3. Talk to players who have trained with coached you are intered in

4. Try several coached out

5. Commit to training

-The speed and technicals fundamental of the female players provided a good comparison against male players.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out

1. Determine and make very clear what you want to get out of soccer.

2. Determine how you expect/hope a coach will help you improve as a soccer player.
