About Ozzy
I have been studying voice for nine years and teaching for one. I believe voice lessons should be accessible and individualized to each student's goals and needs. Whether it is musical theater, jazz, or pop, I love to help beginning voice students gain confidence through tension-free singing and beginning music theory. I have experience preparing for auditions as well. I teach within my own studio in pioneer square, or I can travel to your home for a small fee.
I have held many featured roles in musicals and I have experience with both small and large vocal ensembles. Whether you want to feel confident enough to sing karaoke, are thinking about auditioning for choir, or are going up for the lead in "West Side Story," I would love to coach you along the way to achieving your singing goals.
I love seeing people become more confident with themselves and their voices. My favorite days are the ones when people surprise themselves with how good their voices sound when they are singing freely and without tension or harsh judgment. It's why I do what I do!
Besides 9 years of general singing and performing experience, I took a number of music classes during my time at Emory University and I took private lessons for a little over a year.

I like to spend some time during the first lesson discussing your short and long term goals when it comes to singing. Then we can discuss songs to work on that will help you work on specific techniques and/or might be suitable for auditions. Finally, we sing! Once I can hear your voice a little in a low pressure environment, we can combine your goals with my suggestions and exercises to help you get there!

Details
I charge $40 hourly, and $30 for lessons over Skype. If I travel to your home, there will be a small travel fee depending on your location. Most commonly students will choose to do an hour long lesson once a week. However, I am also available for lessons that are 45/75/90+ minutes at the same rate.
