About Cecilia
Hello! My name is Cecilia. I’m a professional soprano with a masters degree in vocal performance from Yale University and a bachelors degree from University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Over the past few decades, I’ve performed as a soloist and as a choir member, and I have taught voice privately and also at the Santa Fe University of Art and Design.
I love teaching people to use their voice with ease, engaging good technique and understanding their body as a musical instrument. I’m good at identifying and correcting technical issues and helping people develop their musicality. Improving breathing and posture are also some of my favorite things to do in lessons.
I’d love to hear you sing and work on some music with you. Please call me for a preliminary lesson to see if I would be a good match for you in your singing journey!
