About Andrea

Hi I'm Andrea Olivas. I am a female vocalist and music teacher for female singers.

I have sung in children's choirs since I was 4. Since then I have won several music awards in regional competitions. I have had the wonderful opportunity to be tutored under the mentorship of Seth Riggs. Michael Jackson's personal vocal coach of 30 years. Additionally, I was tutored by Brett Manning-Seth Rigg's Protege. I have also recorded an album and sung in bands for over 10 years.

I offer music theory, vocal strengthening techniques breathing, vibrato and stylistic singing. I specialize in teaching classical, pop, gospel, opera and jazz.

After a good 6 months to 1 year (maybe shorter depeninding on your dedication), you will have started to see accomplishments in the goals you have set for yourself, also you will have learned how to project your voice at the right time, build confidence, demonstrate proper breathing, use vibrato if you so desired, and be able to sing stylistically to the genre of your choice. I'm looking forward to working with you!

If you are interested in pursuing this further, send me a message and we can set up a virtual vocal lesson.

About the lesson

I would like for the student to prepare a short song so I can see where they are at vocally. Then I can prescribe a program taylored specifically for them. We focus on strengths but always work on weaknesses. After the first lesson and we see that we are a good fit for each other then we will set up a weekly schdule. And should you want to pursue further, there are always opportunities to perform and pursue your career futher with with DG studios.
