About Andrew

Mr. Andrew is currently working towards a B.A. in Music (Voice) at the University of La Verne where I have trained with Todd Strange (L.A. Opera), Michael Skidgel (Hour of Power), and Robert McNeil (L.A. Opera) and was a part of the ULV Chamber Singers for 2 & a half years, one of which was as the baritone section leader. Some of Mr. Andrew's favorite musical theater credits include Gaston & the Beast in "Beauty and the Beast", the Baker in "Into the Woods", Lord Farquadd in "Shrek the Musical", Mr. Banks in "Mary Poppins", Horton the Elephant in "Seussical the Musical" and the Cowardly Lion in "The Wizard of Oz". Mr. Andrew's favorite choral credits include a 2019 Europe tour performing choral masterworks and concerts, Disneyland's Candlelight Processional starring Ginnifer Goodwin (2016) and Lana Parrilla (2015), and being in the 1000 person choir for Voctave's "The Corner of Broadway and Mainstream" album. In addition to musical theater and choral works, Mr. Andrew haa been a character guest artist in multiple ballets including Inland Pacific Ballet's "The Nutcracker" as Dr. Stahlbaum.

Mr. Andrew was perviously a volunteer tutor with School on Wheels which is an organization that helps bring educational aide to homeless students whose ages range from 5 to 18. Tutoring sessions are customized to each students' needs and interests. Learning should not only inspire curiosity but should also be fun and engaging.

Currently, Mr. Andrew is completing an Educational Outreach Position at Inland Valley Repertory Theater. This position includes teaching acting and singing at Camp IVRT which is a summer camp for students focusing on musical theater.

About the lesson

The first lesson would typically be getting to the know the student and their goals. After this, I will run through some vocal exercises with them so I can become familiar with their voice and discover what I would like to work on with them.

He is very patient and very knowledgeable about the voice! He is so fun to have as instructor and has good way of making sure that in a safe space to grow which helps with tension release when it comes to working and developing the voice i totes recommend to anyone and he works great with kids my nephew is going to see him next week😃

Andrew is really knowledgeable about his craft and understands that everyone is capable of growth and is excellent at working with you to see what you’re struggling with and how you can improve with various techniques. Would definitely recommend.
