Julia Ennen is a knowledgable, experienced and passionate teacher. Even though I have been taking voice lessons for over 25 years, under her tutelage, I am constantly learning new techniques and getting to know my voice in a different way. She takes the time to put together vocal exercises and select repertoire that is well suited for me and my voice. Julia understands how important a singer's vocal health is and that is reflected in her teaching. She always starts my lesson by asking how my voice is feeling that day. She not only listens to the answer, she listens to my sound and adjusts the lesson accordingly. As someone who makes a living utilizing my voice, I feel my vocal chords are safe in her hands. My voice lessons with Julia are the highlight of my week!

I’ve only had a handful of lessons with Julia but I sincerely think she’s the best vocal coach I’ve had. She listens to your voice attentively and tries different techniques to see what vocal exercises work best with you. She checks in with you throughout the lesson to see how you’re reacting to the exercises and adjusting if needed.
She also helped me choose songs based on my vocal type, I definitely recommend!
