About Stacie

Patient, student-centered instruction to develop every singer's voice. 30 years experience teaching musical theater, classical and other styles with students of all ages. M.M. Vocal Pedagogy from Catholic University of America. Music director for many shows. Can prepare students for competitions, auditions and on-going vocal development

I love to help students access their breath system to make the kind of tone that's right for the style of music they like to perform. Then, to help them discover ways to give that tone the emotional and spiritual fullness to tell the story, is what makes teaching a joy.

Worked with hundreds of singers of all in individual and group settings for over 25 years as voice teacher and coach, and music and choral director.

Performed in opera and musical theater productions, soloist in oratorio and choral music settings, wrote and performed in musical theater review shows.

Studies: Master in Music in Vocal Pedagogy from the Catholic University of America & Contemporary Commercial Music Institute at Shenandoah University

About the lesson

During Safer-at-home- Lessons done with Zoom on Donation basis

1. phone conversation to assess if the student's goals for voice instruction align with my background as singer, teacher and director. Also determine if this is short or long-term instruction.

2. At first lesson, assess vocal and performance strengths and areas for improvement. Discuss plan to develop these areas with student, including material for practice.

Children ages 10 and up

Teens in musical theater and choral ensembles

Adults

Be prepared to take a few lessons with a teacher to determine if what they offer really works for you, and will help you to take your singing to the next level.
