About Una
I believe everyone has a beautiful voice. I love working with beginners, neuro typical as well as neurodivergent and transgender voices. I love helping people find freedom and fun in their expression. I teach the voice mechanism and body awareness. Voice is an instrument that requires your whole body and I put emphasis on building good vocal habits.
I am a certified Vocal Health First Aider and can be your first contact if you are experiencing voice problems. I have a diploma in Pedagogy and Technology of Voice and Singing which has helped me to understand how voice works. I introduce my students to the voice mechanism throughout our lessons. I am also Youth and Adult Mental Health First Aider which helps me navigate emotional responses in my studens, because lets be honest, voice is so personal.

I have been teaching languages and music to kids and adults in three different countries for more than 15 years. I started focusing on teaching voice specifically when I was in Japan in 2017. The voice mechanisms and it's connection to the whole body and mind fascinates me greatly.

We get to know each other to be absolutely comfortable to explore and relax. I ask about your goals and wishes, because it is important to taylor every lesson and exercise to your needs. If you are a singer I ask you to prepare a tune to sing. Together we build a practice that fits within your lifestyle. I encourage on every step of the way to have fun, explore and observe your habits. We learn about the voice and how it works. We make different sounds and noises and laugh our way through difficulties.
Kids and adults, neuro divergent and typical, transgender, absolute beginners and professionals.
Ask them if they know how does one make sound, what in the body moves and how? I believe a voice teacher should know where the vocal folds are, how many and how they work. And then of course, do you feel comfortable with this teacher, the connection is everything. You feeling comfortable is the most important thing, and everyone is different, so finding a teacher you jive with is essential.
My student got a main role in a musical. So proud, so much work went into that. I am my students biggest fan whatever they do, even if it is just singing in the shower.

Una is a gifted teacher who can work with students at all levels with patience and skill. She is constantly innovating to bring the best experience for her students. Our child looks forward to her lessons all week and is always practicing or planning something new to share with Una!
