About Jacqueline

I provide tailored lesson plans for each students’ individual needs. To do this I work with each student to get to the root of their musical goals and then create a lesson plan based on those goals. Every student is different and my passion is taking the time to figure out the best way to assist students in their musical journeys. I have taken voice lessons for over 14 years. I have been a songwriter my whole life and have played piano for many years. For more information on my background go to (concealed information)

With vocal lessons, I love helping students to free their natural voice through a combination of easy vocal and breathing exercises that should be repeated and worked with often to help the techniques become habit. I want you to become the most fully embodied performer possible and that always starts with a healthy foundation of basics in my opinion!

With songwriting, I love to help students express themselves using their own words and ideas! I want to help you craft your own musical story. Songwriting is my passion and I would love to share that passion with you.

With piano, I can help you as a beginner or intermediate player by learning basic music theory and technique.

Began teaching to my friends and then began using this website!

I graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts! I have studied singing and vocal for 14 years with teachers Brenda Thompson, Silvia Irving, Julie Krugman, and Marishka Wierzbicki. I also participated in a semester long study-away program at The American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, CA where I studied Voice & Diction, acting, and physical theater. My main area of expertise is in Musical Theater. I have acted and sang in 10 productions, my favorite role being Eponine in Les Miserables! I have recently begun studying Contemporary Comercial Music and Pop! I'm excited to continue learning alongside my students!

About the lesson

My typical process would be to first identify the student's goals for taking lessons and then map out a lesson plan based around those goals. I will also take the time to learn the students strengths and weaknesses and identify the best ways to help the student develop their weak areas and continue to strengthen the skills they already possess!

I have worked with folks in middle school, high school, and adults.

Find out your prospective teachers' background and past experience. Have an intitial conversation/lesson with that teacher to be sure they can help you reach your musical goals.

Firstly, my first session with Jacqui immediately helped with my issue with singing. I was having sore throat after doing gigs, even when I did some vocal exercises. After telling her about this, she pointed me to exercises that immediately helped me. I didn't have sore throat after that. Second, I like her philosophy. She teaches in a way that makes the student feel relaxed and confident, all about coming towards our nature rather than forcing the voice. Her breathing exercises are also very helpful.
