About
Students that really want to learn, listen, come with a question or two, and have a sincere interest that is not one forced upon them by anyone else - these are all the type of qualities that inspire me in sharing,mentoring, coaching, and teaching what I know and have learned with a student. I also enjoy working with students that enjoy the collaborative process as we learn and grow together in our abilities. My service looks at the student as a whole, not just their interest or talent in music. I utilize holistic techniques to encourage wellness and I attempt to truly listen and get to know the student and their background dynamic to understand what their real needs are, in addition to specific instrument, vocal or writing training. With a background in psychology and sociology, I utilize sessions as an opportunity for overall development, encouragement, and goal setting as much as possible to aide the student (whatever age) in progressing towards healthy choices, growth, and forward thinking.
