About Aubrey
Hi singers!
My name is Aubrey Myers. I am currently attending UCO, and majoring in Jazz Performance, minoring in classical Vocal Performance.
I have been teaching voice lessons for 2 years, and I have loved every second of it! I have made it my life goal to discover all different kinds of singers, and figure out what works best for their voices, to help them grow.
I pride myself on the ability to teach all different genres of singing (classical, jazz, pop, musical theatre), whilst also keeping a cohesive curriculum. When I was taking voice lessons as a kid, my teacher only taught me classical, so I had to learn different styles on my own. I think the best singers, are the ones who can do a little bit of everything!
I also am very adamant about teaching music theory, songwriting, and ear training throughout the lessons. Having a good ear, knowing how to identify and write chords/melodies, and ability to sight read will make you a better off performer in the future.
