About Leslie

Leslie Goldman Berro holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Juilliard and has performed with prestigious orchestras and opera companies as well as solo recital in the US and Europe. PLEASE NOTE:Minimum age is 17. I do not accept beginning students. $75/session.

Aside from classical vocal production, Ms Berro teaches correct foreign language diction and successful auditioning techniques.

My greatest enjoyment comes from students developing proper technique and winning auditions, awards, and roles. I see the confidence it builds and whether or not they become professional singers as their career choice, they can take the knowledge, discipline and confidence into anything and everything they do in life! (Ages 17 and up-no beginners)

It was a natural outgrowth from a international performance career where I share my skill set, training and experience with other singers.

About the lesson

Prospective Students ages 17 and up audition by sending an uplink via YouTube or Vimeo to your live, unedited vocal video performance of any classical vocal piece you wish in any language. Musical accompaniment may be live or prerecorded without vocals.

I do not accept beginning students.

Lessons are 55 minutes @$75.00 per and are suggested 2x for the 1st 2 weeks since correct practice must be monitored to avoid vocal strain.

Preference is given to students who already can read music or are serious about learning how.

My studio is comprised of singers, age 17 and older, who seek to learn classical principals of proper vocal production. Most read music or are taking classes to learn how. (It is very difficult to work professionally without this basic musical skill and so, I strongly recommend it.)

First you would prepare an audition piece of your choosing, accompanied by an instrumental track (karaoke/music minus one) for me to hear. If I feel we are a good fit and you are a serious student who will invest in regular vocal practice and instruction, you will soon see the benefits of learning proper vocal technique.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
1. How serious a student am I?

2. Is my goal to one day sing professionally?

3. Will my budget allow me to take weekly lessons?

4. How much time can I dedicate to my music and vocal studies?

5. Am I willing to take private lessons electronically in real time and if so, do I have the infrastructure to do so? (Reliable, fast internet service, videocamera linkup, etc.)
