About Norah
While I am an artist, my heart is to free the artist in others. I began making art as a child and over the years have been an art quilter, potter, mixed media artist and sculptor. I have taught art for over 20 years to people of all ages and ran an art school for children, taught College for Kids in the Tarrant County College system and privately in my home based studios. I have had multiple students go on to gain degrees in art and flourish. I have traveled nationally and internationall as a platform artist using art to encourage and motivate individuals. I am a certified instructor for Paverpol (a propritary medium) used in sculpting.
I am in the process of changing the name of my business so I do not have a current web site.
I was asked my others to share my knowledge. That lead to starting an art school for home school and other children. I was asked by a professor I had in college to teach in their College for Kids program and did for years.
My quilts opened the door for teaching both sewing and art quilting and lead into fiber sculpture where I became associated with Paverpol and became a certified instructor.
While I am self taught in some areas, I did take courses in design, and ceramics in college. I was fortunate to have grandmothers who were expert seamstresses and quilters and learned a great deal from them. I also attend classes taught by other accomplised artists in my areas of interest.

I always begin by asking what my students want to accomplish, what they have attempted, where they felt success and where they were dissatisfied with the outcome. We then set up classes that will help them achieve their goals. I try to always show students that they are already using their creativity at a successful level in some area and they can be successful in others. I individualize instruction, give lots of encouragement, and make sure the student enjoys the classes.
I have worked with children as young as 4 up to senior citizens. Art is for everyone and I will gladly teach anyone wanting to learn. I have had students win awards for thier art and some who have graduated with honors from universities with art degrees.
