About Jamie

Sewing lessons in a modern and welcoming setting. 3455 Indianola Ave, Columbus, Ohio.

Private sewing lessons are $30/hr.

Fun and engaging techniques for kids and adults, groups and private lessons. Several years experience teaching in various places like Ohio Craft Museum, Studio Creative, Wholly Craft, Sew To Speak, and Whetstone, Hilliard and Prairie Township Community Center.

Teaching and helping others see their creative potential is the best! I love my job!

Teaching requests and working Summer jobs as a teen, volunteering as a troupe leader and following my love for working with others, showing creative techniques got me started.

Majored in Art Education at Ohio State University with a focus on fiber arts.

Teaching since 2008 in Columbus, Ohio.

Taught at Ohio Craft Museum, Columbus Parks and Rec, Hilliard Parks and Rec, Sew To Speak and board member of Hilliard Arts Council. Creative Art Bar, Wholly Craft, Studio Creative and The Sewing Hive

About the lesson

Students send email request to (concealed information) or text (concealed information) to get started with infomation regarding time, date, project or what you'd like to learn about sewing.

I've worked with almost every age and modify lessons according to their ability.

Check with local sewing shops for teachers they'd recommend. Contact and search social media, making sure to check images of classes and work they've done. Get to know them through email contact or meet up for coffee, to get a sense of their personality. You should always enjoy your creative time!

I loved being able to work with groups of women, showing them how to understand and read sewing patterns, beginning sewists and weaving/macrame lessons this Summer!
