About Alicia

My name is Alicia Ivy White and I've been cutting & sewing clothing and costumes for the past 10 years.

The art of sewing can grow in so many directions. Being able to create something functional is not only a gratifying experience but can also be quite therapeutic. The pride my students walk away with wearing their creations is what drives me to share this fun and creative skill. SheSewBomb.com displays some of my work, check it out!

What I love most is the sense of instant gratification you get from creating fashion. It may take weeks or even months to construct a garment, but the moment you make your last back stitch and snip, your idea is officially in your hands. It's real!

Working in film and television production as a seamstress can be super fast pace, which can get stressful, but having your work approved to play on screen is also a very exciting accomplishment. It's a way I get to share my art with millions of people.

I studied costuming in college as a Theatre Studies major, so my construction skills range from ready to wear to mid century costumes.
