About Emily

I am a sophmore in high school that makes straight A's. I can guarantee that you will pass your test and I will help you study amazingly. I take all honors classes so I will be able to help with math in classes sophmore year and below. I also play the alto saxophone in marching band and ukulele on the side, so I can tutor on that as well.

I am new to tutoring, but I am always helping people around my school with assistance in their classes.

I am a sophmore who is taking honors algebra 2 and I also attend marching band after schol where I am a squad leader of the saxophone section.

About the lesson

Usually when I work with a new student, I will need them to have some sort of mobile or web device that they can use either zoom or google Meet. I want to get to know the people I wokr with, especially if I am going to be working with them for more than a few days. If the student needs help in math, then they can share their lesson with me in that class by email and I will help them understand that lesson plan better with examples, vocabulary, and sometimes games. Same goes for help with studying. If a student needs help or practice with the saxophone or ukulele, then I will require to use video and auto on the zoom/google meets. I will answer any questions you need, give you demonstrations, and more.

I am willing to work with anyone taking algebra 2 and under (sophmore-Junior year and below). I will also work with anyone in any grade who wants to learn more about the alto saxophone and/or Ukulele.

I would advise the student to put into consideration the tutors ways of teaching, the age of the tutor, and the price that the tutor charges. It is import to understand your tutors ways of teaching, so that you are getting taught in the best ways for you. Secondly, it is important for you to decide if you want a tutor who is -for example- more mature or someone who will understand the student more. Basically decide what kind of tutor you would prefer. Lastly, make sure that you are able to afford your tutor. If you are not, then make a payment plan with your tutor and negotiate prices if you can.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should think hard about whether they need to pay for a tutor or if they can find someone at their school to help them prepare for example, a test. Decide before hand if payin for a tutor is the best option.

Details

Math tutoring (from algebra 2 and down): $20 per hour -> negotable depending on grade and lesson

Studying: $10 per hour

Saxophone tutoring: $10 per hour

Ukulele tutoring: $10 per hour

Mondays - Wednesdays: 7:00 p.m - 10:00 p.m

Thursdays: 7:30 p.m - 10:00 p.m

Fridays: (depends on date) 5:00 p.m. -12:00 a.m

Saturdays - Sundays: (until further notice) 12:00 p.m - 12:00 a.m

Keep in mind that times may change due to other activities I have after school

*Try to let me know atleast 5 days a head of time before scheduling a day for tutoring/studying. If you are not able to, then let me know as soon as possible when you need a tutor.*
