About Pan

I have always loved helping other people especially other children. I love to see the smile on a child's face when they finally understand something and master it. I've been tutoring since I was a kid and as I stated earlier I was always helping other kids catch on to things in school. Most of my experience comes from private tutoring however, I was a tutor on the Varsity Tutors platform for a year and had the pleasure of tutoring 4 amazing children from 1st to 4th grade in Math and English.

I help students achieve their goals by holding them accountable. I have my students create their own realistic goals and get them involved in their own lesson plans to get them excited about what they are learning. I love interactive lessons including games, songs, videos etc. I don't give out homework unless I feel it is really needed. I don't like homework any more than the kids do :)

I look forward to meeting new faces and creating new bonds with my little braniacs

I took 3 Education and Training classes in my technical career training in Highschool. I also have experience with homeschooling that I did for about 3 years after I graduated. I still offer homeschooling virtually and in my area.

About the lesson

I like to talk to the parents first and get a good idea of what the student is struggling with. When I meet the student for the first time I take a good amount of time to get to know them before I dive into the lesson. I want my students to feel comfortable when they tutor with Miss P☺️

I have worked with kids who have shown signs of learning disabilities, kids who don't like to sit still or are impatient, and kids who simply just get the material that is being brought to them. I have also had to teach children that are just plain ol' not interested in school.

Once I had to take a break from tutoring I wasn't prepared for how hard it would be to tell my students that I would have to go for a while. My students and I cried and had very long goodbyes. I'm fond of this moment because I am grateful for how I was able to teach AND bond with these amazing souls.

Details

I am negotiable however, my price at the moment is $22 per hour. The amount of subjects/services needed will make the price go up and well as if there is more than one student.
