About Cindy
Specifically, my love of teaching Reading led me to become a Reading Interventionist for the last 4 years. supporting students on their Reading journey. Previous to this experience, I have taught grades 1st-6th for many years, many of which were 2nd and 3rd grade. In addition to my Elementary Education degree, I also hold a Masters Degree in Language, Literacy and Culture from the University of Colorado.
I have always loved teaching and my passion for learning drives me. I love how our brains work and develop in all different ways. I love sharing the happiness students feel when they've had successes after hard challenges. Watching them grow is very rewarding.
I started teaching a multi age 1st and 2nd grade classroom when I moved to Colorado after graduation from college in Florida. I knew I wanted to teach because I'm fascinated with how the brain works. And specifically how it learns.
I'm a Reading Interventionist with Jefferson County Public Schools. I also have my Maaters degree in Language, Literacy, and Culture. I have taught grades 1-6 and have been teaching for 20 years.
