About Debbie

I teach the way my students learn best. I don't rely on flashcards and comprehension worksheets. My program uses music, art, movement, rhymes and games to build the phonics skills needed for reading success. When students are equipped with the skills they need, reading is not painful, it's fun! I am a highly trained, state certified teacher with a Masters Degree and over 125 additional credit hours in reading instruction for Dyslexia and other learning disabilties. Rest assured, ANYONE can read. I can help!

Learning to read shouldn't be a burden. I love helping students learn in fun and high energy classes. The joy on their faces and the celebrations we have as they crush their goals is why I do what I do!

I have a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. I am a State Certified Teacher with over 15 years of experience. I am an Orton-Gillingham certified educator.

I've been tutoring students with Dyslexia, ASD, and ADHD for nearly twenty years.

I have also been a Director of Curriculum and Instruction and Special Education Coordinator for the past two years.

About the lesson

Trust is important for struggling students! When we meet, we will spend some time getting to know each other to help build a relationship that will make your child comfortable and excited to learn. I will conduct initial evaluations and create a customized learning plan for your child. In each session, we will work on targeted skills in a fun, high engergy manner and we will track your child's progress together so that we can celebrate each milestone along the way.
