About Jessica

I am a certified elementary and middle school teacher with certifications in elementary education k-6, special educational k-12 and middle school math 6-9. I have all three certifications in Florida and Pennsylvania and have both a Bachelors Degree in Elementary and Special Education and a Masters Degree in Teaching and Learning with a specialization in Elementary Reading. I have 8 years teaching experience with children in grades k-7 in all subject areas and have built a collection of resources to utilize with children of all ages.

I have been a teacher for 8 years with approximately 4 years of tutoring experience prior to full time teaching.

About the lesson

First I'd want to get to know the student a bit so they are comfortable with me followed by some initial assessment to figure out their strengths and weaknesses along with their current math or reading level depending on the subject they need tutoring in. I would then work on building their skills and gathering materials to best teach them and meet their needs

I've worked with students of all ages and all abilities in just about all subject areas. I have the greatest amount of experience with elementary and early middle school aged students.
