About Suzanne
I am working with students within my school district this summer. I know what is expected and love working 1:1 with students giving them as much help as possible. I help them keep up during summer. We work hard and also celebrate successes along the way.
I have taught reading/Phonics and Phomemic Awareness for over 7 years and love it. I work with kids to help get them reading at grade level. This is my passion, I can't imagine doing anything else. I have taken many courses on reading and have many certificates. I have studied and teach from what I have learned from experience and "The Science of Reading" to help all of "our" kids.
I have worked as a Paraeducator for 15 years. I have taught reading for 7 years and work with 1-8 students at a time every day. I work hard to work towards Washington States high standards of educations. I have high expectations for each student as I want them to do thier best.

I start with a assessment to see what they know and where they are at. I use Phonemic Awareness and phonics to start. I choose books at their level to begin with then as we move forward, I make sure they know their phonics as we move forward.
