About Andrea
True Blue Quilts aims to help you excel, experiment and enjoy quilting so you can express your creativity in a tangible way.
I have been quilting since 2004 and I teach a variety of classes and techniques throughout the Phoenix area.
I was named Best Rookie Quilter by the Arizona Longarm Quilters group in 2006 and I have published two books of quilt patterns, which are available on Amazon.

I love all aspects of the quilting process. It is so exciting to plan a new design, then find the perfect fabrics to bring it to life. Adding the surface quilting designs is the final icing on the cake.
I spent almost 20 years as a high school teacher. When I worked in a fabric store, it was a natural transition to teach classes as well.
I have 15 years experience quilting. I have been a longarm quilter since 2006.

I have a short chat with new students about the type of project they are interested in. Once the project is chosen, I can guide the student to purchase the necessary supplies, then we will begin sewing.
I have taught classes for all skill levels, from beginners and children to workshops with experienced quilters ready for a new technique.
I look forward to the annual show by the Arizona Quilters Guild. It is so inspirational to see the variety of work by quilters across our state.
