About Abigail
As a college student who has taken the ACT and SAT myself and scored highly on the the reading and writing portions: ACT 33 on reading and writing, SAT 700 each on reading and writing (in 2015 before they changed the scoring)
My friends have worked as tutors, both as personal one-on-one to high school and college students alike, and at institutions or companies like Kumon, and they recommended tutoring as an excellent way to make use of their skills and to help others.
I am a college student at KU majoring in Political Science, and in high school I took the ACT, SAT, and AP exams.

I recommend a free first-time session, just to see where the student is at academically and how I can meet their specific needs and requests. From there on we can meet as often as the demands of the student's academic schedule allow and tailor each session to what they need. I want to be as flexible as possible, yet consistent to what the need, especially with test dates coming up.
I have helped younger students (elementary) and now I want to focus on high school students primarily.
I would advise you to ask yourself how much time you are willing to spend outside of your current schedule, to get help and do extra work, and that you should always be working with someone you are comfortable with.
This summer I got travel to Italy by myself, and then Finland and Russia with family member. I am also learning Russian in school, and I want to start learning Italian.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
A student should first examine honestly their strengths and weaknesses based on previous/practice test scores and grades on homework assignments, and how disciplined they currently are in their academics. Knowing where they are can help me prepare them as much possible, and tailor expectations to suit them.

Details
I would like to keep it low, about 10-15 per hour; it would cost more if the student does not have any test prep material as I would have to bring my own, depending on what the need.
