About Beth

Looking for a mentor to help you on your way? Let's talk. I have loads of experience teaching, I love teaching and I am passionate about helping others discover their talents. Now that I think about it, teaching may just have been my destiny. As a child I "played school", as a young adult I taught Sunday School, as a college student I worked in afterschool programs in the summer and as a camp counselor in the summers.

I hold a BFA from the University of Arizona, NJ teaching certificate form Rutgers University, post graduate work from Maryland Institute College of Art (Ceramics), School of Visual Art NYC (Print Making), Peter's Valley Craft Center ( Pottery and Fiber Arts), 2011 National Board Certification Candidate.

About the lesson

First we will talk a look at your goals and aspirations. I will develop a plan of action and provide you with a sequential method for building your skills. I will provide you with turotials and support that will guide you along the way. I'm comfortable with teaching on line or in person.

I am certified Kindegarden through 12th grade. As a public school empoyee I have worked with all walks of life.

If you are looking to build your skills in weaving, knitting, spining yarn, throwing on the pottery wheel, hand building with clay I can certainly help you on your way. I know what it takes to build a portfolio that top colleges will admire.

Currently I have students who "won't leave the room" when the bell rings because they are so envolved and love what they are doing.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about what you would like to accomplish. Is it getting into an art program, taking your egsisting skills to a new level? Would you like to promote yourself on line and get a source of revenue started? Or maybe you need a creative outlet and like working with your hands. The crafts are a great way to accomplish all of that.
