About
Marissa Pitts, a Tennessee Native, received her BFA in Dance Performance from Radford University in 2024, where she was also awarded the Outstanding Graduating Senior Award. Upon graduation, Marissa moved to Connecticut to pursue a professional career in dance with Ballet Hartford. In addition to pursuing her dance career through performing and teaching, Marissa received the opportunity to acquire her certification in Mat and Reformer based Pilates.
Marissa has found that pilates fuses her passion for helping others feel their best by exploring the various ways muscles work to produce movements. Marissa implements her background of dance with pilates to create classes that utilize illustrations and images to guide movement and include clear muscular activation cues.
Marissa ensures that clients are taught from a personalized curriculum that brings them closer to their goals. She emphasizes the fundamentals of pilates to prepare and enrich each client for their everyday life.
