About Benjamin
The only studio in Austin to offer Romana's Pilates Classically trained instructors since 2007. Selected by Romana's Pilates to serve as a teacher training center for central Texas. Instructors Ben and Blaire love to work with are, people whose needs include flexibility without losing control and strength without losing suppleness. Every workout is tailored to the specifics of the individual using the method taught by Mr. Joseph Pilates to Romana Kryzanowska and handed to us through a rigorous training program.
I am Romana's Pilates Certified and have been teaching Classical Pilates for twenty years. I have experience working with Athletes, golfers, swimmers, dancers, runners, weight lifters. The body types I've worked with are hyper flexible, tight legs and backs, overweight. I've also had the privilege of helping clients recover from surgeries performed on the shoulder, spine, hip joint, knee, ankles feet and toes.

I find that the exercise history of the student helps to narrow down expectations of how Pilates can help them. Then a quick postural assessment will determine any muscular imbalance. Seeing how the body moves helps find compensatory patterns that contribute to weakness. Then I give exercises that the studen can do at home to keep the momentum of learning Pilates.

I have been working with Animo Pilates for over 20 years. It has been a very rewarding experience. I love working out three times per week. This gives me a chance to work out one day on the reformer, another on the cadilac and another on all of the chairs. I also enjoy the mat class. I am amazed what I can still do at 78 years old. I can't imagine my life without Pilates.
