About Athena
I am passionate about music and have played the piano since I was 7 years old. I was trained in the Suzuki method but I teach primarily the basics of music theory. My lessons are geared towards beginners of all ages.
I especially enjoy working with kids.
I started teaching some of the younger kids in my church when I was in high school. I recently graduated college, where I was a part of many musical groups.
I was trained primarily in the Suzuki method but also a few years of note reading. I am not classicly trained but have natural musical talent and am able to pick out and play songs by ear, which is what is taught in Suzuki.
