About Hannah
Lyric coloratura soprano, Hannah Stephens, holds a Master of Music degree from the acclaimed Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. She is uniquely qualified to teach Voice to all ages and skill levels, and also enjoys teaching beginning piano to younger students. (concealed information)
I first began teaching in graduate school, as a project for my vocal pedagogy course. I really began to love teaching when I lived in California (2011-2015). I find that I love teaching more and more!
I have a masters degree in Voice performance . I studied piano from age 8, and Voice from age 13.

For Voice students around age 12 or older, I usually do weekly lessons for 45 minutes each. The first Voice lesson is shorter and it’s a free consultation lesson. For younger voice students I usually do half hour lessons.
I usually see piano students for a half hour per week. We do exercises and work through a book. I assign pieces based on level and usually we do theory and musicianship as well.
I have worked with many voice students of all ages and abilities. I love all ages. As a children’s performer, I am very good with young students. I have also worked with adults, studying to perform more skillfully, and adults studying for the therapeutic benefits of singing. One adult student I worked with was recovering from surgery which injured her vocal cords. I work on classical technique and on repertoire of the student’s liking.
For piano, I only work with younger beginners (up to around age 13) because I think that my skills are best suited for this age.
I would advise you to have a consultation with me for free! (If Voice!’s If piano, just try me out (only $20!). Please don’t be afraid to hurt a teacher’s feelings! Not every teacher is right for every student.

Half hour lessons are $20
45 minute lessons are $30
I also offer discounts:
10% off when you pay for the month upfront by the 1st of the month.
20% off additional classes or students in the same family.
If you refer a student, you get either $5 credit to future lessons (this is if the student pays for a single class) , or you get a free lesson if the student pays for an entire month.
