About Benjamin

After having played piano since the age of 7, I have more than a decade of experience working with teachers of various levels. What makes a great teacher is the ability to mold their own program to the specific needs and passions of each individual student. My mission is to help you grow as a musician by incorporating the music you love into our weekly lessons. Whether that be the theme from Star Wars or one of Chopin's Nocturnes, I believe that all music can be used to teach important musical principles.

I will begin our lessons by making sure that you have recieved a proper musical foundation. This foundation includes essentials like: rhythm, sight reading, posture and fingering. Students with prior piano experience will be assessed on their current ability and lessons will be adjusted to facilitate continued growth. I am happy to accept students of all levels and ages. Because every student is unique and grows at his own pace, I will teach you how to make efficient use of the practice time you have available; enabling you to become the best musician that you can be.

As a performer, it is inspiring to hear other people perform the music that they love. It is an honor to help my students play the music that moves them t0 the best of their abilities. Music is a lifelong gift because it teaches us to aspire towards greatness in all aspects of our lives; I hope that the lessons you learn in my studio enable you to grow as both a musician and a person.

I have been playing the piano since the age of 7, and am currently earning a Bachelor’s in Piano Performance at Pacific Lutheran University
