About Prin
I love to individualize lessons for piano, music, songwriting, arrangement, musical theater, and more. I'm also able to coach writing and provide English lessons. At this time, I am only looking for online students, not in person.
I've worked in traditional and private teaching settings for over 20 years in the NYC Metropolitan area. I use a mix of method books and original exercises to engage students, ages 2 and up, including students with special learning requirements. Feel free to ask! :)
Aside from teaching, I am an avid songwriter and producer. You can find my music on Apple, Spotify, and other streaming platforms. I create music that ranges from vocal productions in modern music to meditation sound healing, and everything in between. My artist name is Prin.
I am also a published freelance writer. I'm offering tutoring lessons for writing and poetry, too.

I enjoy developing a student's abilities at their level. That is why I enjoy individualizing the experience as much as possible. No two students receive the exact same lesson from me.
I began teaching music privately and as a choir director in college. My first classroom teaching job happened when I was a senior at Fordham in 2000. That was my first real teaching job.

My first step is to understand how a student learns and what they already know. We also identify goals and interests. I do begin most students by reviewing basics to ensure we're all communicating with the same language.
For music students, I try to lay a foundation of music theory that is practical and easy to remember.
For writing students, I encourage prompts and stream of consciousness exercises to loosen the creative flow.
Ages 2 and up, including students with developmental disabilities.
