About
Lessons at Prairie Center Music & More are fun and tailored to your interests. We can do traditional piano lessons or band instruments or guitar or ukulele lessons with a method book, but I will always supplement with songs and styles picked specially for you! I have three acoustic pianos in my living room: a Steinway grand, a Charles R. Walter, and a shiny black 52 inch Kawai upright, so we have options for playing together! My studio is my farmhouse north of Ottawa, IL so every lesson is a quick field trip to the country!
I have over 30 years of experience teaching piano students of all ages and skill levels.
My degrees are:
Bachelor’s in Sacred Music, North Central University, Minneapolis, Performance Graduate of the Year, 1993.
Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, The Robert B. Miller College, Battle Creek, MI, 2010.
Master’s in Education, Cornerstone University, Grand Rapids, MI, 2014.
Additionally, I have taught elementary music and general education in public schools for 15 years in Michigan and Illinois.
