About Trish
40+ years experience teaching piano
I love helping students speak the language of music! Anyone can learn to play the piano! Enjoying music has very little to do with talent, and everything to do with learning, understanding, and "speaking" the language of music. I will teach you to play fun & familiar songs during each lesson. I enjoy teaching piano, and I strive to provide a positive learning environment for each student. I offer online lessons that are flexible and conveniently scheduled on YOUR time. Let's get you going on the piano!
I began teaching in NY when my own piano teacher’s studio grew and she needed to hire an additional teacher to take on some of her students. Teaching piano has been my full-time job for 40+ years, and I love sharing the gift of music with others!
I hold a college degree and possess 40+ years of training & teaching musicians.

My goal in teaching music is to give my students the skills they’ll need to enjoy music for their entire lifetime! Whether they perform, accompany, join a band, or simply play the piano for their own enjoyment, my goal is to instill confidence and musical knowledge that will enable them to pursue their musical endeavors AT any stage of life, and ON any stage in the world!
I have taught students of all ages and abilities! My job as a music coach is to work with each student individually, and figure out how they learn, and what are their musical goals. From there, I will adapt a curriculum and teaching plan to help the student achieve those goals and succeed in their musical endeavors!
I would advise any student to enjoy the learning process, but be prepared and committed to practicing. You do not need to practice for hours every day - but you should carve out a bit of time every day to play the piano. Even just 10 or 15 minutes a day, done on a consistent basis, will have you progressing just fine!

Trish B is the one of the best piano teacher around. I have come so far in the past couple of months, all because of her patience and making piano playing a thing to love.
