About Lynn Worcester
I specialize in teaching piano lessons to students of all levels, ages, and abilities. Students are taught to read and interpret piano music, develop a healthy piano technique, cultivate strong ears, and incorporate music theory and ear training in their studies. I teach a traditional note reading approach for beginners through the Wunder Keys curriculum. I am also a certified Suzuki teacher and can combine this mother-tongue approach with a note-reading approach to piano study for parents interested in having their students play at an advancing level from a young age. I customize a curriculum for the needs and goals of each parent and student. My intermediate to advanced-level students are assigned piano repertoire from the Baroque to Modern eras. Students participate in local auditions, state competitions, festivals, non-competitive performances, and other performance opportunities if so desired.
I love working with people of all ages. Preschool piano to adult study, including students into their 60s and 70s! The gift of music is for everyone and I truly believe that there is the right curriculum design and repertoire plan for anyone!
My mother is a master piano teacher and so I grew up in a piano studio. I began taking students at age 16 and have since made my career as a performer and teacher, and I love it! I teach at the collegiate level at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and equally love working with young beginners as I do advanced adults. For new students, I like to find out what their goals are, what their past experiences are, and how much they want to invest regarding effort and time in reaching those goals. I love working with people of all ages, small children ages 4 and up. I especially love working with beginners, children beginning around age 6-8.

Details
There are different tuition packages. Some people like to purchase one lesson at a time, but lessons are more affordable if you pay a monthly tuition fee. Students who would like to purchase one lesson at a time pay $50 for 30 min, $75 for 45 minutes, and $100 for 60 minutes.
Monthly tuition packages are more affordable, however I do not reschedule makeup lessons within this tuition structure and the tuition reflects that. Please check out my studio policies for more details on missed lessons.
30 minute lesson: $167
45 minute lesson: $221
60 minute lesson: $289
90 minute lesson: $379
As summer approaches, I have specialized group classes in theory and history for children ages 7-10, for example (7 weeks/lessons $215 plus materials fee).
