About Heidi

I have always had a deep passion for music. Once I became fluent in music theory and applied it to my dedication to piano, I decided my next learning opportunity would be to teach it to others. "While we teach, we learn."

I took private lessons for 16 years, and have been giving lessons regularly since 2017.

About the lesson

Generally working with children, I introduce the piano in small, bite-sized lessons, focusing on each part until they understand it to the best of their abilities. I try to never leave a student with a negative lesson. A positive learning environment is encouragement in the long run.

I have worked with students as young as 6 years old.

Don't give up at the first hardship... or the second, or the third! Everything worthwhile is difficult at times.

For students age 6-12yrs. (recommended)

I try my best to hold annual recitals. Recitals are very motivating for new students and helps with any potential stage fright.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Sunday afternoons, but I am usually flexible week to week for lesson days. Be prepared to dedicate a few times of weekly practice to your schedule. I recommend weekly/biweekly lessons.
