About Jeremy

I began teaching in 2002 after graduating from JBU with my Bachelor's Degree in Music. I continued teaching throughout graduate school and beyond, and have fallen in love with it. There is nothing quite like feeding into a students' lives and watching them grow, both in their craft and as people.

About the lesson

I speak with my students and/or parents to determine their goals, then go from there. No two students are alike, and it makes the most sense to customize lessons to some extent.

All ages and levels of experience; some special needs children (specifically, children on the autism spectrum), and some with disabilities. Basically, anyone with a desire and willingness to learn.

Make sure it's a good fit. Ignore pedigree and experience, and perhaps even playing ability to some extent, if the personality fit is not right. The wrong teacher can ruin your experience with music, and that should never happen. Don't be afraid to ask many, many questions, and never get locked into more than a handful of lessons until you are sure it's the right fit.
